MY story

With twenty years of working in hospitality, I am an event planning veteran with valued experience and an excellent reputation.

My career began in the sales department at the San Diego Convention Center, with a focus of supporting trade show and convention business. From there I became a corporate meeting planner at TEC International, managing c-level executive meetings across the country. When the Super Bowl came to San Diego in 2002, a short-term contract job with Sports Illustrated took me to New York when SI asked me join their team as an Event Marketing Specialist. My role at Sports Illustrated included planning VIP hospitality programs at major sporting events (such as the Super Bowl, Olympics, and Masters), managing onsite sponsorship activation and overseeing the online SI premium store.

When I moved back to California in 2007, I became an independent event consultant, and have since consulted for clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, SportsMark, Special Olympics International, The Sports Authority, USA Volleyball, Strategy Plus, Roche Pharmaceuticals, GMR Marketing, the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Athletics. My role with these companies and teams ranges from staff management and guest relations to full logistical program execution, event sales and marketing and team logistics.

From 2012 - 2015 I served as Event Manager for the 49ers Foundation at the San Francisco 49ers. This position was an incredible opportunity to learn the nuances of philanthropic event planning and create meaningful events which raised millions of dollars for the 49ers Foundation.  I also gained valuable experience assisting with game day operations and promotions activating community initiatives.

With extensive experience on different sides of the industry, I have an unique insight into both the client and agency/vendor perspective. I truly understand the hospitality industry and components of a successful event or program.
